Friday Night Beach Parties

Friday nights are when Sunset Lab comes alive. Live musicians and DJs set up on the beach and the whole place transforms into Watamu's best night out. Locals, expats, and visitors mix on the dance floor with the ocean as a backdrop. There is no cover charge. Just show up, grab a drink, and let the evening take you. It has become a weekly tradition that most people who visit Watamu end up at least once. Sunset Lab is open daily except Tuesdays. Lunch service starts around noon, and the kitchen runs through dinner. Booking slots are available at 12:00, 16:00, and 20:00 through their website. The restaurant sits right on Watamu Bay Beach (also called Mapango Beach), easily accessible from the main road through town. Parking is limited but available nearby. They also have cozy rooms right on the beach if you want to stay the night.
